We started out doing things the right way. The rest is history.

Founded in 1992, Progressive Foam is a foam manufacturing company dedicated to the commercialization of innovative building products. With strategic anchors in product development, advanced process technology, and product marketing, we invented and brought insulated vinyl siding to the marketplace.

Although siding insulation for vinyl siding is still our dominant product line, we have since diversified our offering to meet the needs of the entire siding market, offering siding insulation that can be paired with fiber cement, engineered wood, steel, and others. All of our siding insulation products help meet the needs of energy-conscious remodelers, builders, and homeowners.

Co-founder Patrick Culpepper began Progressive Foam by borrowing $200,000 from two friends on a handshake. The first facility was a small pole building, where we manufactured insulation for use behind vinyl siding.

“From the beginning, we envisioned that Progressive Foam would become a company that was focused on new product and new market development”
says Culpepper, looking back on the start of the company. “It seemed a little hard to believe for most people when we were working out of a pole barn with a Porta-John.”

Thirty years later, we now operate out of two locations, a 111,000 square foot facility on 10 acres in Beach City, Ohio, and a 220,000 square foot facility in Gnadenhutten, Ohio. Our products have been installed on over a million homes in the United States and Canada, we hold 37 patents, and have six pending for future products.
