Matt McDermott currently serves as President of Heritage Family of Companies, responsible for the development and execution of company strategy, including driving growth through M&A, greenfield expansion, business development initiatives, vendor relations, sales and marketing efforts, and overall strategic advantage. Matt helped create Heritage Landscape Supply Group in 2018 and Heritage Pool Supply Group in 2021, bringing a new vision and energy to both the landscape and pool industries. He previously served as Chief Strategy Officer of SRS Distribution, the parent company of Heritage. Prior to joining the SRS/Heritage team, Matt was an investment banker at Harris Williams & Co. where he advised families and private equity clients on acquisitions, divestitures, and financings across multiple industries including specialty distribution, industrials, and consumer products. Matt also serves the broader pool industry as a board member of the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance.
